1/11, The night of the first New Moon in 2024.
I recorded this reading in my hotel room while working on the Southern Border. I spent a week shadowing archeologists while they searched for paleolithic artifacts and relics north of the Rio Grande.
We talked about philosophy, the beauty of magnetism, and the natural oscillation cycles of our star while scanning for cartel threats and big cats. I never realized how strange my life was until I stopped to take a look around.

"Keep Your Powder Dry" at the VetRep Theater
September 11th, 2023. Chris from VetRep Theater invited me to read "Keep Your Powder Dry" on their special 9/11 edition of the "Write Loud" series.
This was my first time reading my work to an audience. It was also my first live reading.
I was 4 days from moving and my house was boxed up. My phone was propped up on two plastic bins in the corner of an empty room. The illusion of order among the chaos.
